About realism in photoreal images
Many people feel that when doing photoreal images, ugly or vulgar equals realism. My take is that reality is overrated, and that reality also doesn't have to be ugly.
It's naturalness, candour, and emotion what makes something real, even more than reality itself. We already have enough dirt in the world.
I also find that now, when people insist in the most crisp images, the most complex bizarre stuff, and so.
But I am using actually old tech, that I learned to customize and use it to a high degree. And I never lose perspective in that naturalness, almost naïve, of depicting something beautiful.
Because we have to ask ourselves what is the purpose of our art. For me is to feel good, have good thoughts, good feeling. Call good experiences to memory, keep them alive.
