What I learned this year
These are the advancements I made this year:
- Use of chiaroscuro in images for more appealing shading. Possibly the most important advance.
- Postwork colors by hand (saturation guides the gaze).
- Sharpen the images to the right degree.
- Create a style that is not the one of a existing artist.
- Do modest version of my works or modify parts by hand sketching.
- Improve the detail while keeping style
By getting dramatic contrast of light and dark, and the use of saturation, the images get much more appealing. I also learned that more detailed is more concepts to imagination, not more crisp images.
Here below there is an image with most of what I say. There's not much chiaroscuro as I wanted a more ambient light.
