The wind - image series

I've been experimenting with wind on my photoreal images. This is a sort of alchemy, mixing concepts and source images, that believe it or not, are sometimes a drawing, and others it's an abstract line and color sketch.

Intuitively, I've learnt the emotion, the pose, the light that an abstract image has inside. I can now sense what color, light, line, or shape will produce which things.

Then, it comes to Tamzyn to follow and influence the generated result. Then we work together in several iterations of the results. If I didn't had her as model, and collaborator, the results may be very different. You just have to compare my images to others out there.

The emotion, the feeling, is something you have to be an artist to imprint. You can become, just being sensitive to it. It's not a matter to imitate someone, or to use a style, or whatever.

I invoked my own model, that is her, and then did my styles, and all together becomes more personal, just as right from my heart. I see no sense in imitating anything out there. First, you create to express yourself. You don't create for other people.

The right way is to create and train your own concepts, from your own materials. Remix and combine what you produce, and improve the way you do them, until the result is beautiful. It's the same in all arts.

I may write a photo story soon, this time in Marseille. When doing the walk outside Marseille, there was some wind at dusk. So we decided to go back and make a photo session there.

Movement and light go together. Light suggests transparency, and movement suggests depth.
